Where are you from, where you at?I am from Aviemore in the highlands of Scotland, but I’m living in Glasgow right now.
How long have you been riding?I think like 12 years or something?
What’s your set up?I ride regular, wide stance, +18, -18, no forward lean and round off my edges a wee bit all over.
Do you customize your gear in anyway?Hell yeah, I love a wee bit of sewing. If I have a tee-shirt with a good graphic on it but the tee is too small (happens quite a lot) I just cut the graphic out and sew it on a tee that is a good size, or just lengthen the tee. I also have this epic 80s girls ski jacket I got from a charity shop that I made into a pretty fetching gillet. Looks better than it sounds.
Most memorable new trick you landed for the first time? From this summer probably a back 1 on switch back 3 off on one of those black corrugated pipes at the Snowdome.
Any pre-shred “go to” meal?Coffee, always coffee, but any food is good really. A good old bacon and tatty scone roll is probably the winner though.
What’s your typical post shred location?I am a big fan of taking my boots off. If I am in Europe and have enough money I will usually get some apres-ski on the go though.
How would you describe your style?I like taking bits of lots of different styles and making it my own.
Snow porn or real porn?Haha, I suppose it depends on whether I want to be inspired and motivated or just fire off some knuckle children.... there is a time and a place for everything ya know?
All expense paid vacation anywhere, where would you go?Year long trip round the world? If I had to pick one destination only though it would probably be something like a Heli trip to Alaska.
Craziest riding experience from last season?Um, probably riding Silverton in Colorado. It's this rad resort with only one access chair and then you just have to hike to all the different lines you want to do. You have to be with a guide and have transceivers and all that. They also only allow 80 people up the mountain a day. Hit some amazing pow lines with some rad people. Felt really lucky to have the chance to go to a place like that.
Best and worst thing about snowboarding right now?Best: The feeling you get when you learn a new trick, knowing it was something you feared and managed to overcome and hopefully make it look good. Worst: For me, it’s the fact that I spend all my money on it and never have enough money to even go out at the weekends. I can't afford a driving license. I can hardly even afford my rent. But it's all good because I fucking love snowboarding and I’m more than happy to live this way!
Where do you plan on spending next season?Depending on my cash flow and things I would like to maybe go to Finland with Flo in January for a rail trip. I’ve never really been on one before so that will be sick. Then go to my favorite park in the world, Breckenridge baby. I love that place so much, 3 months there and then finish the season up in Aviemore where there is a rad wee mountain Called Cairngorms.
Any shout outs?Shout outs to all the people at ROME especially Scot (crusha T) Todd and the UK team, my family who are all total legends, my friends, all my other sponsors and the people who hook me up with them, Sessions, 32, Adidas, Grenade, Yoki, Skullcandy, Etnies, Sno!zone, Freeze pro shop, all my Glasgow shredding crew, Scott penman and all the badboys I shred Breck with, my cairngorm shred crew, my Glasgow skate crew, all the good people in the UK snowboard scene and just every one that has helped me over the years, there are way too many people to list so sorry if I missed ya. PEACE
