Lightweight Riding Wear

NOT EVERYONE WEARS OUTERWEAR

This collection is a classic example of how we follow our Designed By Snowboarding value. Riders are expanding the notion of “outerwear” and people are looking for gear that blurs the line between an everyday jacket and a piece of functional outerwear. In this collection, we bring together light jackets, windproof cotton hoodies and a windproof shirt—all designed to function on the hill; all designed to be your go-to piece everyday off the hill. Because not everyone rides in outerwear.

The Technology that Defines our Lightweight Riding Pieces
  1. Waterproof Membrane: On two of our jackets, we integrate a 5000 mm waterproof membrane to keep you dry.
  2. 4-Way Stretch Windproof Laminate: Driving the unique performance of our cotton riding pieces (hoodies and shirt), our internal windproof laminate keeps out the chill, locks in heat, and stretches with your grabs.
  3. DWR: A finishing touch of waterproof DWR keeps wet snow on the outside.
  4. Riding Details: Styled for the street, we take our windproof and waterproof models and inject them with things like pass pockets, pit zips and music management systems to make them snowboard-specific for function on the hill.
Weather Index

We give each piece a temperature rating. This is an average target for what temperatures the piece is ideal for. Depending on the rider, it can vary with layering and how hot or cold each rider runs.

LAYERING WITH FUNCTION AND STYLE

In order to run laps in all conditions, layering with functional pieces is critical to helping you manage the weather. From your toes to the top of your head, we create technical riding wear that retains heat and manages moisture, while fitting properly for snowboarding and being styled for your favorite après spot. Our MT Collection of technical layering hoodies is the backbone of this collection—feature-loaded pieces built from moisture-wicking fabric that look as good as they function under a jacket. Facemasks, head bags, socks, and base layer complete the collection to keep you completely dialed for whatever Mother Nature throws at you.

The Technology that Defines our Technical Riding Wear:
  1. ThermalWick Moisture-wicking Fabric: We use different weights of our moisture-wicking polyester ThermalWick fabric for the different needs—quilted Hoodie-Weight ThermalWick in the MT collection and lighter weights of ThermalWick in the baselayer and facemasks.
  2. Riding Fit: The different grabs of snowboarding obviously involve bending over. So we tailor our MT and baselayer pieces with a longer Riding Fit so your layering system stays gap-free in the middle of your favorite trick, or when you are just strapping in.
  3. DWR: A finishing touch of waterproof DWR keeps wet snow on the outside.
  4. Riding Details: In the MT Collection we add details like pass pockets, pit zips, music management systems and thumbholes to make them snowboard-specific for function on the hill.
