Stevens Pass Snowboard Shop Profile
Give us a quick run-down of your shop and its history.
The shop’s been here since before pimpin was pimpin! But me and my buddy took it over three years ago and have been sending it since, we’ve been killing it!

What is it about your shop that keeps the local shreds coming back to get all their gear?
WE SNOWBOARD DAILY. If you have a question about product, chances are me or one of my riders has ridden in it, or on it. Just walk through our door and we pay your tax! It’s the place to be!
Describe your local shop crew; do you often have people hanging out at the shop?
The Crew is huge! And we’re all super chill, after all it is the NW right? If you know us and you can keep up… well, then you’re pretty much in the crew. Usually you can roll in and see multiple heads getting motivated, watching the flat screen, trick squakin and boot talking. What do you know about the boot? Oooo the sacred boot…. uhhhh what was I talking about?
What is it about your shop that sets it apart?
CORE. Rider owned, we’re not a shop that’s run behind the scenes by some old grey rich dude, we live for the dream not the money. NO SKI EQUIPTMENT! Always a discount and we’ve got a personal jib scaffolding setup in the back with swappable jibs that include a 22ft double barrel down bar, 2 16ft boxes, and 2 8x8 wall rides that can be laid down and linked on any edge. Pretty legit!
What’s your current set up?
Jib: 153 Artifact 1985
Shred: 156 Postermania
Any up and coming shop riders to keep an eye on?
Derrek Lever. He’s young and killin it hard! Look for him cause soon he’ll be everywhere. And Megan Ginter, 3rd place slopestyle 2009 X-Games. She’s about to take over the women’s scene
Do you remember buying your first kit? How do your early snowboard purchasing experiences affect how you sell snowboards?
Pfff… yeah I bought a 143 Joyride in like 1995ish….I had some Sims Master Links and Burton Stubbs on my nubbs. I was stoked till I actually rode it in snow, scarecrow starfished everywhere, everyone was like, “That’s the smallest board I’ve ever seen”, this was when it was cool to ride a board twice your size. Point being, I should have been sold a bigger board. So yeah, no one at this shop will ever sell just to sell.
Do you have any yearly event at the shop that you look forward to?
We have a 4:20 Rail Jam held on April 20th. It’s always good time. We bring snow to the shop and do it right, it’s free, there’s $$$$ at stake, and a bunch of product gets tossed out. No one goes home empty handed.
What’s the hardest part of working in the shop?
Ha!!! That’s easy… not being able to ride because I’m in the shop, all I want to do is get to the mountain.
What’s the piece of Rome gear you guys get asked about most often?
This year, definitely the 1985 Pop-Rock boards
What’s the closest shred spot to the shop? What’s your local shred scene like?
Stevens Pass, long fun park, lots of powder, cliffs, short steep hikes, and night riding till 10… need I say more? Lack of people = POW all day!
What’s the worst thing or strangest thing you’ve ever seen brought in for a repair or tune up as far as snowboard equipment goes?
Had a guy bring in a board and he had waxed the topsheet like it was surfing… dumb shit… I mean what the hell are the bindings for? Use your brain!
What’s the shop’s all-time most played shred flick? What makes it the best flick for repeated viewing?
No Correct Way… ever heard of it? And They Came From… and this year Eiki’s part in Nice Try should have been ender.
Any celebrity or pseudo-celebrity sightings ever happen in the shop?
The legendary Peter Line, a couple times a year
