Snowboarding takes many forms in this modern age, from street riding to terrain park laps to waking up well before dawn to skin to your favorite remote zone. The common thread in all these endeavors is snow, without it our beloved activity is rendered impossible.
Snowfall of course is intrinsically tied to the ebb and flow of the natural world, a flow that is often taken for granted in this hurry up world many of us find ourselves in. Whether we chose to acknowledge it or not, our daily activities and consumption patterns have a direct impact on this delicate balance.
By now many of your are probably familiar with the “The Little Things Movie”, a 2 year film project examining environmentally conscious riders, their lifestyles and the importance of living in balance with the natural world. Spearheaded by Rome rider Marie-France Roy and filmmaker Darcy Turenne this initiative is poised to show a new side of snowboarding, one that needs to be seen now more than ever.
In honor of Earth Day, April 22nd, the crew released this new trailer which offers an insightful glimpse into what the film is all about.
Featuring the riding of MFR, Gretchen Bleiler, Tamo Campos, Jeremy Jones, Mike Basich, Meghann O’Brien, Jonaven Moore and more. The crew recently launched a new Kickstater Fundraising Campaign in order to help pay for the associated costs of producing a film of this magnitude. Show them some love and help bring this film to the eyes of the wold! There are a ton of great rewards for different donation levels and no donation is too small!
