TechLeather

We impregnate leathers with waterproofing compounds that saturate into the entire structure of the hide. The strength of our TechLeather is that it delivers the great feel and strength of leather, while also keeping water off your hand.

Flexible Insulation

If you understand wetsuit design, you’ll understand our unique approach to insulation. We put the warmth where you need it—on the back of your hand. We put the dexterity where you have more natural insulation and where you need better feel—on the palm side of your hand.

DryTac™ Inserts

Waterproof, breathable, and super flexible, our DryTac inserts are the primary source of Rome’s Vapor Management, with an added touch of 5Finger Freedom.

DWR Coating

An external coating of 600mm waterproof protection on all our gloves is the first line of defense against rain and snow.

Freedom of movement is super important in snowboarding. Locking into a grab, tightening your bindings, digging through your pack in the backcountry all demand a high level of flexibility and feel. When we design a glove, we utilize shape and technologies to maximize dexterity.

5FF Rating:

We rate each model on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 means the most 5 Finger Freedom.

Vapor Management

Knuckle dragging can be wet—we grab, we adjust, we open cans. And, of course, we drag our knuckles in the snow on laybacks and hand plants. So you need gloves and mitts that have the technological backbone to keep you hands happy, warm, and dry.

Warmth Rating:

On a scale of 1 to 10, we rate each model for its warmth power—10 is the warmest.

To fight back against the abuse of snowboarding everyday, we implement construction details like TechLeather, low-stress seam placements, and durable textiles.
