3D-Molded EVA Tongue
This is the foundation of the progressive flex of our shells. The compound curve of the 3D-molded tongue provides a structure on toesides that responds back with pop when you load energy into it.
Jointed Cuffs
Free-floating at first, Jointed Cuffs on the hill deliver an initial freedom of movement that ramps up to increasing levels of support the more you lean into it.
InOut Lacing
Featured only in the Marshall, Rome’s InOut Lacing lets you adjust and fine tune your ankle fit after you’ve laced up the shell. Pull on the InOut Lacing handle to get the fit you want, and then tuck it away.
Lockable Zonal Lacing
Cleated speed hooks at the ankle let you vary the fit in the upper and lower sections of the boot.
Internal Cuffs
How a boot fits in the ankle is critical for determining how it secures your heel for precision or how it lets your foot move for nuanced control and freedom. Our Internal Cuffs let you choose where you want to sit on the control-to-freedom scale. For 2009, the pattern and construction is more anatomical and locks down your heel even better.
High-Friction Rubber and GripPatch
Rock-climbing rubber on the heel of the Marshall secures it firmly in the heel cup of your binding, while ribbed rubber GripPatch on other models interfaces with highbacks for added heel hold.
