The purpose of this statement is to let you know what information we collect, how we collect it, and understand the circumstances in which we use it. We respect your privacy.
Information We Collect
We ask for your mailing address when you request a catalog so we can send the requested material to you. Occasionally we may send you other, free things in the mail. When you register your board in our warranty program we ask you for more detailed information including additional contact information, which we will use to: (1) to verify that your board is registered in the warranty program; and (2) to provide you service if you should have any problems with your board. We ask for other information when you request a catalog or register your warranty, much of which is optional. Please don't tell us things you don't want us to know. We also will ask your opinion on random things. This information is collected anonymously and is used only to get to know each other better. We know personally identifying information about visitors to our site only because you voluntarily give us this information. We don't use "cookies" or any other technology to get information about you without your knowledge.
What Happens to the Information We Collect
The information you give us stays at Rome. We maintain strict security over the information you give us and use it only in the following ways:
- To send you information you request and to update you on the status of that request.
- To monitor the traffic on our site to help us design the best, most efficient site we can.
- To occasionally send you free promotional materials.
We maintain your information in-house at Rome. If you want to remove your information from our database, please e-mail us.
In accordance with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act, we will not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. If you are under 13, you cannot request a catalog from us or register your board's warranty. Please have your parents contact us to enter this information.
