This Fall, the Rome SDS will be releasing it’s third full length snowboard film, The Shred Remains: A Film about the 100 Day Perspective.
Today (Thursday June 16th) between 12pm and 1am Central European time, we’ll be sitting down with Bjorn Leines, LNP, Will Lavigne, MFR, and Rusty Ockenden, streaming live video through a Facebook link where you’ll be able to ask the riders anything and get answers in real time.

The deadline for entering your edit in the 5th installment of The Local GNAR contest is drawing near. The Local GNAR is a video contest for locals that celebrates the best parts of snowboarding—hanging with your friends, shredding snowboards, and capturing it on film. It’s not too late to get a crew together, take some sunny park laps, session a favorite local spot, and get it on film. You’ve got a whole month, which is more than enough time to put together a solid edit.
Rusty made the move to Whistler, BC right out of high school to snowboard amazing terrain every day. Like an incoherent Intervention subject, Rusty was officially addicted to powder. To support his habit he got a night job as a bartender so he’d be able to save up and buy a beat-up truck and sled to get himself in the backcountry where some of the best moments of his life have, and continue to happen.

We first came over Ross Barclay about a year ago. Sort of a tech head shop geek that was skeptical to the ethos of the Rome SDS. Well, a year later and after umpteen demo sessions we now have a devout believer in the SDS, so much so, he has become the UK Shop Kid Samurai over at Freeze Pro Shop. Ross is the biggest Abba fan and Abba memorabilia collector that we have ever met, but all round he is a damn good egg who will sort you with the right choice of kit for you.
