Inside the Design House – Live Twitter Interview with Shawn Dumont – Win 2011 Outerwear
Mar 10, 2010 - 03:35 PM EST

Shawn Dumont, who you may know from such Rome SDS contests as, “Tramp Stamp for Dumont”, has been a part of the SDS for six years now. He’s spent countless nights sleeping on the couch downstairs after working into the wee hours churning out art, he’s been asked numerous times to stop singing in the office, and snowboarding has been a part of his life for the past 18 years.
Dumont’s responsible for a lot of things you see in your local snowboard shop like Rome Gloves, all of the art in our outerwear design, t-shirts, beanies, caps, and boards like the Postermania. Now go back and re-read that sentence. That’s a shitload of stuff.
Coming in hot off of his first place win, at Marky B’s Boardfest at Kingpine in New Hampshire this past weekend (Slalom), he’s sitting down this Friday to answer any questions you may have in the third installment of the Inside The Design House live Twitter interviews.
It will happen this Friday, March 12th at 3:00 pm Eastern Standard Time.
“Do you come up with all the t-shirt designs?”, “What was it like to work with LNP and MFR on their pro-model gloves?”, “Do you think of yourself as a coward for getting a henna lower back tattoo instead of a real tattoo?” “When did you know you wanted to be an artist?” “Why do you continue to smoke when the labels clearly tell you ciggs are bad for you?” “What was it like the first time you saw someone riding a board you designed?”
Anything you want to ask, he’s got an answer for you, in real-time.
Then Rome will pick a winner at random and hook them up with a 2011 Outerwear Kit, Jacket and Pants that Dumont designed himself.
Here’s how it will work:
1. Log on to Twitter at the designated time
2. Submit your question in the “What Are You Doing?” box
3. End your question with a #Romedesign
4. Dumont will fire back his answers to your questions
All you need to do to be entered for the new 2011 Outerwear Kit, is ask a question with the #Romedesign “hashtag” in it during the designated time, and we’ll be picking a question tweeter at random and hooking them up.
Make sure to get your work done early this week, so you can be on Twitter this Friday, pretending to work. And if you don’t have to work, must be nice… just get on Twitter on Friday, March 12th.
