The Magic Bus Tour Day 2, 3 and 4
The Magic Bus rolled on last weekend with stops at Mt. Hood Meadows, Windells, and of course a session in downtown Government Camp. After a ton of snow all season, Meadows turned from winter to spring for the weekend, so the riders got to have a super warm-weather spring park mission. We had some afternoon hangs in the parking lot at the bus and all the local shreds came out to ride with the Rome crew. After the riding we headed back to Windells for all night skate sessions at BOB—Windells indoor park. Thanks to Mike Palino from Meadows and Ryan from Windells for letting us post up at camp.

On Monday morning, the Magic Bus loaded up again and headed south.

With our time at Hood done, the SDS merry pranksters headed down to Lake Tahoe and the home of last year’s infamous Rome Flophouse. The drive should only take about seven hours, but since the Magic Bus’s top speed is a hot 54 mph, it ended up more like eleven hours of rambling through Oregon and northern California. Sometime in the middle of the night, the crew spilled out of the Magic Bus and stumbled into at Dirty Joel’s house in Kings Beach. The next day was Stop 3 – Sierra-at-Tahoe. We headed up to Sierra bright and early for a perfect spring pipe session. With warm weather and some unique jibs built by the mountain, the crew had some fun getting their shred on.

With Sierra on lock for another day of pipe and jib, a Kingvale Ride With Rome Session on Friday, and a Rome 050601 party at Dirty Joel’s house, the Magic Bus and its load of riders is settled in Tahoe for a five-day stay.

So far, it’s been the wild ride we always wanted. Incredibly, the Magic Bus has yet to be pulled over on the trip. Knock on wood.

If you’re in Norcal and want to ride with LNP, Casey, Max, Foy, and Bokenkamp, head up to Kingvale on Friday to jib the bus and grill some food.

More fun on and off the bus to come.
