The Right Fit with the Right Flex

Flex With Pop and ConFormist Fit start close to the foot—in the liner. Composite Liner Design (CLD) is a liner construction process unique to Rome. In CLD, we combine pop-oriented tech with fit-oriented tech. Our flex-adjusted 3D-Laminated liner tongue and PF panels deliver the responsive flex that we need in snowboard boots—sheet stock material just doesn’t cut it for Flex With Pop. Both the 3D-Laminated tongue and PF Panels are attached to a heat-moldable liner body with Zonal Lining for advanced levels of ConFormist Fit.

Zonal Lining

For the fit-oriented fabrications that touch your foot, we break our linings into TriZone and QuadZone matrices of Comfort Foam, fleeces, and directional face fabrics. Since your forefoot has different needs in different places, we combine targeted materials to where they will optimize fit and comfort in the following regions: Zone 1/Forefoot; Zone 2/Ankle; Zone 3/Calf; and Zone 4/Heel. The result is Conformist Fit.

3D-Laminated Tongue

The 3D-Laminated Tongue in the Rome CLD is a key driver of Flex With Pop. The 3D structure is built of different layers with targeted flex properties for a smooth, kink-free flex. The 3D shape also nests into your ankle for improved ConFormist Fit.

Expand Toe Zone

Does everyone have the same toe dimensions? Nope. Some have wide toes, while some have narrow. Some have a big toe that is the longest, while some have a second toe that is the longest. A neoprene cap on the CF.3 Liner lets the liner conform to your unique toe anatomy. ConFormist Fit.

MEMORY HEEL POCKET

For advanced levels of ConFormist Fit, a heel pocket of memory foam in the Targa takes a fresh set to your anatomy every time you step into the boot. The result is a foot-securing fit that is unique to your body.

MOLDED PROGRESSIVE FLEX PANELS

On the lateral and medial sides of the outside of the liner, we integrate molded Progressive Flex Panels to improve the flex of our Composite Liner Design (CLD). When you flex the boot, these panels help the liner “kick back” to its neutral state. The result is Flex With Pop.
