“Rome Sox ready themselves or a third straight victory over the SDS Sox”
The parking lot of the Rome SDS, located in Waterbury, VT has been temporarily renamed as the “In-house Training Facility” leading up to their big game a week from today against the sales rep squad in Londonderry, VT. The reps SDS Sox have dropped 2 games in a row to the Inhouse Rome Sox.

All roster players, and some new ones hoping to make the cut showed for today’s mandatory practice session. Overseen by Manager/Yeller/Fast Talker Ryan Runke, the squad looked good to him. “Everyone took to working together on the field really well. Charging grounders, running sprints and grabbing fly balls on the run, everyone looks good. Even the new additions show promise” Runke said, “At least no one looks as bad as Rich Smith out there.”

During the practice session, some of the players were reached for comment:
“If you thought that catch that saved the game last year was something, wait till you see what i’m bringing this time around” exclaimed Ian Fung, who ended the Reps rally late in last years game with a spectacular catch in center field.
“It’s funny to see Coleman out there, barking orders at the Rep squad, trying to rally them on the field. That guys so little, it’s kinda cute” taunted All Star first baseman George Eget.
When asked is he was afraid of the go get’em attitude brought by the State Champ from Nor Cal, backup catcher/shit talker Shawn Dumont thought for a while, then said “State Champ?… Ohhh, you mean the State Chump! Nah, I’m not scared of him, but the way he pulls his socks up to his balls is pretty funny.”
During warm up, Cy Young winner Ron Faverty seemed to be in zone, ignoring my repeated attempts for a quote. That is, until he turned to me and yelled “Until this game is in the over, you”ll address me as Kenny Fucking Powers” Poetry folks, Poetry.
All at Mondays practice were in good spirits, and ready to take on the Rep Squad, and snatch a THIRD STRAIGHT VICTORY from them in as many years. “I feel bad bringing everyone out here from so far away for the game, and then beating the tar out of them” said Dan Sullivan, “But then I look at the Golden Ball trophy, and I just laugh a little. I don’t feel bad at all after that.”

And the reps should be worried, however, after seeing one of the balls from the team’s batting practice. Hopefully their pride holds together better than this ball, that got hit so hard it nearly blew up.
