Wednesdays with Bill. Murray.

I honestly have no idea what’s going on here, but it’s pretty funny.
Place your bets, folks.

Today’s WWBM is an audible one, for a change (and if anyone has the actual video of this from SNL, send over the link). Back in the late 70′s, when Star Wars took over the big screen, our hero took it upon himself to create a cliffs notes version, set to the tune of a lounge singer. Today’s post is dedicated to Mike Forester, up in the far off land of the UP of Michigan. Enjoy.
Coming in hot with one hell of an awkward/funny clip that was cut from the final edit of Lost in Translation. Having traveled a fair amount, and not grasping the local languages one bit, I can relate to this clip whole heartedly. Bill kills it, once again.
In honor of the new website launch, we’re kicking the new season of WWBM with a classic. The best waiter ever caught on film, Bill “Bug” Murray and this clip never get old, and that’s why this is getting posted again.
Oh man, did i get a treat today. I have never seen the film Quick Change that this clip comes from, but I will be getting my hands on it as soon as possible. God I miss NYC.
Oh, and one of the best lines in a long time “yes, but they’re fur bearing. I’d need some kind of permit, wouldn’t I?”
WWBM is back, due in part to one Mr. John Cavan. He was keeping this amazing performance form me this whole time. Bill Murray as the late, great Hunter S. Thompson in “Where the Buffalo Roam.” Although Hunter hated this film, it perfectly illustrates why Bill Murray is one of the greatest actors of our generation. Enjoy.
Next time i’m in SF, you can bet i’ll be stopping by here and posting some photos of the food.
I wake up every day, and try to make it better than the day before. It’s just a good way to approach life, and hopefully always create new and better things. Blogging is no exception. While Mr. Yellow Belly has taken to making Rock and Roll a weekly endeavor, here at Wednesday’s With Bill. Murray, we don’t like to pigeon hole ourselves. Sure, Bill Murray is one of the greatest actors to ever grace the screen, and his body of work will keep WWBM in business forever if needed, but sometimes, you need a bit more.
That is where today’s clip comes in.
With Iggy Pop scoring the soundtrack, Bill Murray takes out an entire boat of pirates. Thats what he does – he run’s shit. Kinda like Wednesday’s with Bill. Murray, wouldn’t you agree, Mr. Yellow Belly?
And this bonus clip is for me. I’d love to take Mr. Goldblum’s approach to dog control here at the office.
Old Bill used to rule the SNL stage. Here’s a gem. The pipes on this guy – giving dumb George a run for his musical postings.
