Confusion

Saturday, January 23rd, 2010

So I was a little slow out of bed today. Normally I like to get to the mountain first thing; I’ll totally forsake runs with friends for fresh groomers and no lift lines. With being a little late I knew I had to come up with an alternate plan to avoid the lines.

It was beautiful today and when it’s beautiful, faithful readers of my posts know that I like to get on top of the mountain.

Here’s the first thing I saw when I got to the summit…

small dog

Can't figure out if the dog or I was more confused....

No animals were harmed in the creation of this blog.

Rock and Roll Tuesday : AC/DC !!!!!

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

Tuesday is the best day of the week because it’s a day for Rock and Roll! Had to share this gem with you because I don’t think many people have seen it before. It’s a live AC/CD television performance from 1976. (I still think Rome supporter Tim Benasich can sing this almost as well as Bon Scott!)

Here is one of my favorites performed in the early 90s and it talks about my favorite thing in life besides snowboarding; HIGH VOLTAGE ROCK AND ROLL!!!! You have to check out some of the other videos from this concert during the daylight (Thunderstruck in particular), the crowd is insane

Enjoy!

Back In The Day — Ali Goulet

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

In later years, Ali Goulet was one of the first riders to drop stuff switch in the backcountry in Whitey’s movies. In this clip from the height of the New School movement, it shows his innovation in the early 90s with a bunch of switch stuff–cab 3s, switch bs 3s, switch rail tricks. 16 years later, it still looks fun as hell.

New year in Quebec

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

We didn’t know where to party for new year. We always been doing it in Stoneham “15mins outside of Quebec”. We didn’t have anywhere to do it this year. Last minute, my friends Charles Gagnon and Marco Faucher decided to build an igloo so we can party in.They did it in Stoneham in my backyard a little bit in the forest. Turned out pretty sick, check out the photos.

There was seat all around the fire.

The crew inside the igloo.

The guy who saved new year! Charles

The set up.

Photos are from Oli Croteau…which unfortunatly got sick on Greg’s legs at the end of the night….HA

Back In The Day — Daniel Franck

Tuesday, January 5th, 2010

From the days of frontside rodeos, the short-lived Atlantis project and punk-rock soundtracks to Mack Dawg movies, Daniel Franck killed it in the mid-90s.
