Opening Day 2010…

Monday, December 7th, 2009

So any of you on the East Coast know that it’s been a slow start to the winter.

No big deal, the Farmer’s Almanac has been making heavy claims so we’re in a good mood… Well winter finally set in with 20″ at Stowe last weekend and then the mountains around here started to turn the lifts this past weekend. We also have snow in the forecast every day this week.

I didn’t take any pictures of Stowe, so you get a picture of kids standing in line for Hot Dogs (or red hots as you call them if you’re from WNY) at the Waterville Valley pre-jib from Twitpic.

Kids in line for Hot Dogs...

mmmm…hot dogs

(See if you don’t order a red hot dog in Rochester, you might just get a White hot dog)

Rock and Roll Tuesday : Anthrax !!

Tuesday, December 1st, 2009

After a 1 week hiatus RRT is back with vengeance! Personally, when I think of music from the 80s, I don’t think of pop music or new wave crap, or any of that garbage. When I think of the 80s music, I think of Metallica, Slayer, Motorhead, & Anthrax; rock and roll. Back in the 80s Anthrax came onto the scene and blew things up. Even though the line up has had many changes throughout the years, some of the early metal these guys laid down was really fresh at the time and I still enjoy it today, hope you enjoy it too!

They were the original band to combine elements of rap into rock and roll, and at that time, it was shocking and outrageous, everything rock and roll is supposed to be. Public Enemy rules, they didn’t need this collab with Anthrax to prove it, but I’m glad they did.

Check back next week when LNP will be dropping in on RRT again with another guest edit! Until then, keep on rockin!
